In Britain, Americas and Canada, growth of women in society happened owing to the changing society and the different waves of political and societal turmoil that threatened to economical stability. Experts commented that women who were being elected at presidential posts in the several societal bodies were making it there because of the backing of their present or deceased husbands. Critics also pointed out in many examples that women tend to be more emotional, violent and often devastating than men, when it comes to collective thinking and individual activity. While these arguments were backed by individual examples, none of them were found to be true for a collective movement of feminism which was always restrained and based on instinctive decision making of some o f the prominent members of the ed ucated women community. In Canada, several feminism waves have been seen in history. As always, it is believed that each of these waves arose as a response to the changes that the society was going through at that point of time.
